July Charity Donation
As the month of July is almost here I would like to ask members to nominate two charities that will receive $25 each, from Bubble. These charities must be non-profit organisations that help people, animals, the world or humanity. Please suggest your ideas on this forum post and any suggestions of the same charity two or more times will receive a donation. If you can also spare some money, please consider making a donation to a worthy cause as well! Through kindness we can all make an impact.

I would like to apologise for the lack of updates at the moment, I have been slightly busy offline and been using a very slow internet connection much of the time which takes a long time to do anything, but I am here with some updates!

Emily (lunabelle.org) – I’ve been with many other hosts before, paid and free, but none of them were really working for me. Things were either overpriced, or the host didn’t provide what they said they did. Kya, however, provides EVERYTHING for free and gives what she says she does.
Kya works hard to provide excellent service, and I must say, Bubble is the best host I’ve ever had and seen by far.

If you currently have an installation of WordPress on your site please upgrade to version 3.0 (which is shiny!). Make sure to backup your database first in case something goes wrong and you loose files (gah). If you are not sure how to do that, post a message on Pop and we will help you. You can also discuss what you think of the new WordPress.

Special Thanks To Hannah!
I would like to give a huge shout out and special thanks to Hannah (Bee)for all the wonderful work she does at Bubble. Hannah so generously created the script that is used to manage all of our wonderful members and helps out in so many ways. I am so thankful for her help and can’t imagine Bubble would be able to continue to grow and really develop so freely without her assistance. *hugs*

I have two bits of news for today.
1. There has been a change in the rules that deals with the use of mature content on the website. We do not allow for websites to display mature content such as porn, erotica, slash fanfiction or anything that may depict adult material. The reason for this? Because there are many younger viewers who are hosted and may browse the websites hosted here and we would like to keep things ‘clean’. If you for whatever reason need to still show the adult material you will have to move to a new host, or consider having a second possibly private blog on LiveJournal or similar. We are open to discussion about this, so let us know what you think.
2. The application form is open again, so if you are interested in applying now you can, woot!

The application form for new hosting requests has been taken down for the holidays. If you have already applied and your application is pending you will still be pending review and will hear back from us shortly. The reason the application form is down is so the staff as Bubble may be able to have ‘less work’ during the holiday period and focus on the festivities. The application form will be available again in 2010 and we look forward to receiving all the new apps then!
We have new changes planned to take place on Bubble before or into 2010 and hope they will make the Bubble Experience better for everyone.

I have a little bit of news to bring to your eyes. The forum is back online (I know, some of you are probably thinking – what it was offline?). I was upgrading and had a few whoopsies. Thankfully everything is back with all the previous members and posts, phew. I have upgraded to version 3.0 of Invision Power Board and it has a lot of fun features that make it more of a community. If you’re not a member you should join!
All applications have been processed and emails replied too. I sincerely apologise for the time it has taken me this last week. The forum kept me very busy trying to fix it, but everything is back on track again!

Howdy all!
All pending applications have been processed and everyone notified, all update and hosting cancellation forms have also been taken care of. If you did not recieve an email and you had tried to contact me, please try again and let me know! Sometimes I may be a little slow at replying but I always get back to everyone!
Recently a trouble check was undertaken on the site to make sure everyone was following the rules and were using their sites. Quite a large number of people either did not link back to Bubble or had not uploaded anything to their sites. It’s important to keep me up to date with your intentions with your site (i.e if you are no longer interested in running it). Sadly, a number of people did also not reply to the trouble email and we shall have to bid farewell to those. *tear* (To keep it fair, I will keep those accounts suspended for a week, then remove them from the server.)
